Thank you for your prayers during our family vacation. We had a wonderful time. Our two major activities were visiting the Olympic National Park (during which we also saw members of my family) and attending the Music Camp at New Saint Andrew's College. Here's two photos: the first photo is of the family from one of our hikes, which includes all 9 children (yes, baby Johnston #9 is due in February 2026!); the second photo is from the concert of Music Camp (this photo is of the 4-6 grade choir, which includes our four oldest).
And a special thank you to the Trinity staff, vestry and volunteers, for your leadership in my absence. We are refreshed and excited for another year of wonderful ministry here at Trinity.
Living Stones Update #9
We have a foundation! Our construction team poured the slab in the wee hours of Thursday morning. I am told it is typical to do a concrete pour overnight, especially in the summer, because it is easier to work with the material with cooler weather. You'll see the slab when you come to church on Sunday. Here's two photos:
And speaking of Sunday, please note that we will be holding our service in the Family Center. What with the construction and the heat, we've had multiple challenges with HVAC and AC in the sanctuary, so we will relocate to the Family Center while we try to get the sanctuary fixed. We hope this is only a short move, since it will still be some months before we have to leave the sanctuary for a more extended period.
