Verses For Our Foundation

Greetings Trinitarians -

Next Saturday will be The Sure Foundation Fundraiser, with dinner & verse-writing on the foundation slab, starting at 6PM. We are looking forward to a great event and already have lots of folks planning to attend. If you are not able to join us, PLEASE DO SEND IN A VERSE anyway. We will make sure your verse gets written on the foundation and blesses our church for years to come!

I wanted to write with a few notes about verse selection. Before I share those, here's the video about our foundation and the upcoming fundraiser:

Here are a few notes about verse selection.

First, it will help to consider a place that is meaningful to you. Entrance, bell tower, gallery, pew, communion rail, sacristy, musicians, choir, pulpit, altar. Second, be sure to select a verse that resonates with you. We want to feel your personality through your verse! Here's two examples that have already been submitted:

Penn Tompkins selected this verse for the bell tower, which also reflects his love of cooking and service!

And on that day there shall be inscribed on the bells of the horses, “Holy to the Lord.” And the pots in the house of the Lord shall be as the bowls before the altar. (Zechariah 14:20)

Annamaria & Steve Aguillard selected this verse for the door, which reflects their love of mission and prayer:

The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. (Luke 10:2)

I pray that the Lord inspires you in your selection, and I am so excited to read your verses! They will truly bless us for many years to come!

Living Stones Update #11
Work is advancing on all fronts. The foundation is poured and framing has begun (loose framing materials will be cleared for our fundraiser). Materials are being ordered, including a shipment of Jerusalem stone! Rector's Warden Bill Cober has been meeting with our builder and the respective trades to ensure efficiency in all systems HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical), and has already saved many thousands in projected costs. A few more details are in process for the family center (exterior painting, curtain, classroom built-ins). We anticipate that we will have the use of our Sanctuary through Advent and Christmas, and then move our services to the Family Center in the new year.

In Christ -
Peter
