Dear saints of Trinity -
Thank you so much for your kind outpouring of support as we announced, last Sunday, a new call for the Jeffreys in Houston.
One aspect of a transition like this, is an opportunity for the saints to step up and take new ownership of the ministries of the church. In Ephesians, Paul explains that the work of the pastor is to "equip the saints for the work of ministry" (Ephesians 4:12). In other words, our Trinity clergy and staff are not meant merely to carry out ministry as a service to the saints. Rather, the clergy and staff support and equip the saints to join in Christ's ministry and mission, so that all of us are growing as disciples, engaged in the love of God and neighbor.
To this end, we will be hosting a Ministry Fair after church this Sunday, coordinated by the Outreach Team and especially by Lisa and Simone. It will be held in the Family Center, with representatives of our various ministry guilds on hand to share about their work and invite your participation. Would you please make a point to attend, and to learn more? Then pray to see where God would lead you, and how he might use you for his ministry and mission.
