Greetings, Trinitarians!
On behalf of Scott and the Comeaux family, thank you for your prayers and participation in Carmen Comeaux's Visitation and Burial Service. It was a deeply moving day: we laughed, we cried, and we thanked God for Carmen and the hope of resurrection in his son Jesus Christ. I've included photos from the service below.
A few items to share with you for this weekend. First, we've got a work day tomorrow morning, starting at 8AM and concluding with lunch. Second, we continue our Sunday School this Sunday at 9AM, on the topic "Sowing Tears, Reaping Joy." Third, a quick reminder to welcome our new and returning visitors, and to make room for them in the pews. Finally, Adam Hunter will be ordained a priest this weekend; please join me in praying for him, the Hunter family, and for every blessing upon their ministry.
I'll conclude with the prayer of commendation for Carmen:
Into thy hands, O merciful Savior, we commend thy servant Carmen. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech thee, a sheep of thine own fold, a lamb of thine own flock, a sinner of thine own redeeming. Receive her into the arms of thy mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.
In Christ -
